Full exterior repaint on a 1920s weatherboard in Petone, including lead-paint encapsulation and three rotten board replacements.
1920s weatherboard cottage, 110m² of exterior surface. Previous paint was failing — checking, peeling, and exposed timber on the southerly face.
Scope: lead-paint test (positive on the original layer), encapsulation primer over existing paint where sound, full strip back to bare timber where compromised. Three weatherboards replaced where rot had gone too deep. Two coats of Resene Lumbersider X-200 on the body, Hi-Glo on the trim.
Completed in 9 working days including two weather days. 12-year manufacturer warranty registered.
